Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called for the strengthening of coordination and interaction within BRICS amid Trump’s attack on the grouping during the meet with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi. He said that we must work on “expanding and deepening solidarity and cooperation among the developing world and emerging economies, constantly enhancing the appeal and authority of the greater BRICS.” Lavrov made a special mention of the strategic leadership of Xi Jinping and Putin.
