China on April 10 urged the United States to meet it “halfway” to resolve differences over trade after President Donald Trump imposed a 125% tariff on Beijing. “We hope the US will meet China halfway, and, based on the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation, properly resolve differences through dialogue and consultation,” the spokesperson for China’s Commerce Ministry was quoted as saying by AFP.
